Scheme for the production of prestressed
concrete strand
The production process is carried out on modern equipment from the world brand Mario Frigerio, ensuring the highest quality and reliability of the products. Prestressed concrete strands are one of the key materials ensuring the durability and safety of construction structures.

Preparation of Raw Materials and Quality Control
The process of manufacturing the PC Strand begins with moving raw materials from the storage area towards the drawing line, where a sample from each coil is taken for additional quality control. After a positive test result, the wire rod undergoes a series of technological processes.
Mechanical Removal of Scale
At the preparation for drawing section, the wire rod goes through a descaling unit and a patented double-head sand belt machine for complete scale removal, after which a predrawing layer is applied before drawing.
Wire Drawing and Quality Control
Next, the wire rod enters the drawing machine, which consists of nine blocks, where it is reduced in order to achieve the desired wire diameter at the output of the machine, as well as the necessary mechanical properties and microstructure.
Twisting ofprestressed concrete strand
After drawing, the wire undergoes intermediate quality control and is directed to the low-relaxation line for PC strand, where seven wires are twisted into a strand. After twisting, the strand is stretched and undergoes heat treatment to relieve stress. The heat treatment is carried out thanks to an induction furnace and a water-cooling bath integrated into the line.
Packaging of Finished Products and Quality Control
After the stabilization is complete, the strand moves to the rewinding and packaging section of the finished product. The strand is spooled on a layer wind spooler to form coils of the finished product, then the coils are packed using automated packaging equipment integrated into the line.
Laboratory and quality control
The Quality Department at our production facility ensures strict control of materials at all stages of the manufacturing process. This includes inspecting incoming raw materials, monitoring intermediate products, and assessing the finished products.

Tests are conducted in accordance with the standards set for the countries to which the products are intended to be supplied.

Samples are taken from each strand bundle for laboratory testing and thorough analysis. This ensures that the product complies
with quality and safety standards.
  • Tensile Strength Test
    Determines the maximum load a strand can withstand before breaking. Ensures that the product meets strength requirements
  • Elongation at Maximum Tensile Strength
    Measures the elongation of a strand under maximum load before rupture. Calculates how much the material can stretch before failing.
  • Load Ratio at 0.1% kN
    Load Ratio at 0.1% kN for Calculating the Conventional Yield Point at 0.1% N/mm².
    Determines the stress at which the material begins to experience plastic deformation.
